CALVARY BOYS LACROSSE
INFORMATIONAL MEETING

Parents of 4th through 8th grade boys, please come out for an informational meeting regarding the future of Calvary Lacrosse. We’ll share information about the game, opportunities to train, learn about the sport and answer any questions about the future of lacrosse at Calvary. Our intentions are to begin training this spring, play in local youth leagues next spring and grow into High School starting spring 2026.

Men’s lacrosse is a sport that has many similarities to soccer, basketball, hockey and football. High School Lacrosse in
Louisiana is organized under the Louisiana High School Lacrosse League which was formed in 2008. It currently supports 21 programs throughout the state with 40 varsity and JV teams and over 1,000 student athletes. The high school season starts in February and ends the 1st weekend in May (2023 championship
weekend was May 6,7).

Blood Drive

Calvary will host a blood drive in partnership with Life Share Blood Center on Wednesday, February 14th.  We encourage our students to sign up to donate at https://donor.lifeshare.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/262903.  Eligible students, ages 16 (with a waiver) through 18, can earn an honor cord for their donations.  The drive will be held from 9:00am to 2:00pm in the Fireside Room.

8th Grade Louisiana Trip

8th Grade Students: The deadline to register for the South Louisiana trip is Thursday, February 15th!  This will be two days of learning and memories, and we encourage each of you to participate! Reach out to Mr. Hobson with any questions.

  • Football Reserved Parking Passes Required for Parking at Cajun Field
  • Free general admission parking at the LITE Center, located across Congress Street from Cajun Field.
  • No football parking permitted on CAJUNDOME grounds due to Volleyball State Championship & Convention Center Events

LHSAA State Volleyball Championships (CAJUNDOME Event)

  • Limited Handicap Accessible Parking Available at CAJUNDOME Gate 12 on Reinhardt Street and Gate 8 on Congress Street. Please have your handicap placard visible at arrival.  
  • General admission parking at CAJUNDOME Gate 8 off Congress Street
  • Free general admission parking at the LITE Center, located across Congress Street from Cajun Field.
