Valentine Dress-Up Week 2020

February 10th – February 14th

Below you will find the “Spirit Days” for Valentines Week…. don’t wait to the last minute to get your ideas together… Start Planning Now!!!!

This is a fundraiser that will go toward the prom for the high school.

            Valentines Theme: We love because He first loved us. (1John 4:19)

Monday – Red Out Day : Wear all the RED you can!!!

Come let us reason together says the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet they shall be white as snow; though they be RED like crimson they shall be as wool. (Isaiah 1:18)

Tuesday – Candy Heart Day!! : Make a conversation heart shirt. What does yours say?

…Love the Lord your God and serve him with all your heart and soul. (Deut. 11:13)

Wednesday – Twin Day!!! : Dress up like a twin with someone else!!!!

Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no greater law than these. (Mark 12:31)

Thursday – Crazy Heart Day!!: Wear hearts from head to toe!

Above all else guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. (Proverbs 4:23)

Friday -“Go Cavs Go”- Spirit Day Extreme!!!: Put on that Green and Gold

Create in me a clean heart and renew a right SPIRIT in me. (Ps. 51:10)

Students who choose not to participate in dress-up days will wear school uniforms.

It is $5 dollars for a student to dress-up for the week.  If they dress-up just one day it is still $5 dollars.

***Windpants, Sweatpants, and Jeans are acceptable this week.  Make sure that you abide by other dress guidelines-no skirts shorter than 2” above the knee, no tank tops/spaghetti strap tops, no shorts, etc. If in doubt, don’t wear it!

Both teams are undefeated in district. Arcadia is currently ranked # 8 in the state in 1A. Calvary is currently ranked #4 in the state in Division 4. All Calvary Students get in the game for a $1.

Calvary Baptist Academy’s, Andrew Otzenberger, receives a D1 tennis scholarship. Join us in the Calvary Family Life Center on Tuesday, Jan 14 at 3:30PM for Andrew’s signing with ACU, Abilene Christian University! Congratulations Andrew!

Cavaliers, you’re  invited to help celebrate Andrew Otzenberger’s college signing party at Calvary Tuesday, January 14th at 3:30 in the Family Life Center. He’s committed to taking his talents to ACU, Abilene Christian University. He’s the first young man from Calvary to sign to a D1 college for tennis. Andrew was Calvary’s LHSAA State Champ 2018 and last years runner up. He will return to ULM in April to regain his State Champ title before he graduates this year. In 2018 was ranked #1 in Louisiana in combined 16’s/18’s year olds. Come help us celebrate Andrew and his signing.

Please join us in congratulating some diligent and hard-working Calvary seniors for their amazing academic accomplishments. These nine student-athletes were named to the ACADEMIC all-state teams in their respective fall sports. To be eligible for this prestigious honor, students must be a senior, must have competed in the sport for two consecutive years, and must have maintained the required GPA for the last three years.

We are proud of all nine of these cavaliers and we are excited to have the highest number of student-athletes named to fall sports academic all-state teams of schools in Caddo/Bossier/Desoto parishes. Great job, Cavs!

  • Every student takes semester exams in English, Math, Science, and Social Studies.  No exemptions for students in these classes.
  • Electives, Enrichments, and Bible classes have flexibility on type of assessment, if any, they choose to administer as a semester exam grade.  Please email your plan to  Mr. Guerrero by 12/9/19.
  • Make-up Exams require an excuse and must be arranged with the teacher.  The best time to give a make-up exam is in the afternoon on Friday or Monday. A make-up exam given after December 17th must have prior administration approval.  Must be approved by Mr. Guerrero by Wednesday, December 11, 2019.
